Our Team

Dr. Sheri Clarkson grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan but has strong family roots in Alberta which is the reason she returned to Alberta after gathering advanced education in the United States.  In 1996, Sheri graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  After the completion of her veterinary degree in 1996, she went to Tufts University, Foster Hospital for Small Animals, in North Grafton, Massachusetts, to pursue an internship in Emergency Critical Care and Anesthesia. Then from 1997 through to 2000, Sheri was in Lansing, Michigan at Michigan State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital completing a Small Animal Internal Medicine residency. During her residency she also spent time at North Carolina State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in the Oncology department.

Since becoming board certified in Internal medicine, Sheri worked in three large private practices with specialty referral hospitals one in North Carolina (2000 – 2003) and two in Calgary Western Veterinary Specialty Centre (2004-2009) and Fish Creek 24hr Pet Hospital (2009- 2021.)  Recently with the support of her family and business partners (Dr. Laura Major and Dr. Heather Suttie) they have opened Trinity Hills 24hr Pet Hospital in Calgary.  In September 2021 she left Fish Creek 24 Hour Creek Pet Hospital so that she could continue offering her type of specialty practice to the veterinary community of Calgary and surrounding areas outside the umbrella of corporate specialty care.

She has published research papers have concentrated around the development of a diagnostic test for diabetes insipidus in the dog and Shetland Sheepdog Leukodystropy (a disorder in the Sheltie defined her residency at MSU).  During her residency she developed a strong interest in diagnostic imaging (ultrasound) and have integrated this extensively in to her practice. Her interests are diverse but endocrinology, gastroenterology (bowel, liver, pancreas), nephrology/urology (kidney and bladder) and immunology/hematology top the list.
Sheri has a husband, two daughters, two cats and a Standard Schnauzer that keep her busy when she is not at work.

Dr. Heather Suttie was born and raised in Calgary. She went to the University of Calgary from 2002-2007 where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. Heather graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2011 and promptly returned to Calgary. Heather has been practicing emergency medicine and reproduction for ten years. She has also travelled to Guatemala, Cambodia, Belize, Nicaragua and the Galapagos Islands providing veterinary care. In 2020 Heather had the privilege of being one of the trail veterinarians at the historic Iditarod sled dog race.

Passionate about providing personal and individualized care, Heather treats every patient like her own. She is proud to join her partners, Drs Sheri Clarkson and Laura Major to create Trinity Hills 24 Hour Pet Hospital and continue to provide veterinary care to the community with the kindness and authenticity of a private hospital.

Heather loves the city of Calgary and surrounding areas. She spends most of her free time trail running in the mountains year round or supporting local restaurants and breweries. She has a crazy little pug named Turbo and an old cat named Neuter (named after her very first feline neuter procedure).

Dr. Peyton Williams Ware was born and raised in Pontotoc, Mississippi.  She graduated with honors from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019.  Shortly after graduating veterinary school, Peyton and her husband (Tommy), a beef cattle veterinarian, decided to leave the southeast United States for career opportunities in Alberta.  Peyton began her career in small animal general practice but decided to make the transition to emergency medicine in January 2022.  Because Peyton believes that communication plays an integral role in quality veterinary care for patients in the hospital and at home, she makes it a priority to listen to concerns, answer questions, and explain procedures and illness in a way that is easy to understand even in the highly emotional or stressful situations that often arise with emergency care.

Outside of the hospital, Peyton enjoys getting outdoors for adventures with her four dogs (Macy – German Shepherd; Toby, Reba, and Winston – Australian Shepherds), tackling her next DIY home project with her husband, or settling down for the occasional night in with cuddles from her two black tuxedo cats (Baby and Carver).

Dr. Jacquelyn Fulford was born and raised in Fort McMurray. She travelled to Australia to study Marine Biology and completed her Bachelor of Science while experiencing the beauties of the Great Barrier Reef. She then continued in Australia to complete her Veterinary degree graduating with honours in 2013 from the University of Sydney. Career opportunities brought Jacquelyn back to Alberta after graduation to work initially in her home town before moving to Calgary in 2015. Having worked both in primary and emergency care, she enjoys the many challenges of the veterinary field and the ability to always be learning and growing.

Jacquelyn’s fur family started with her cat, Simon, who has been with her since vet school. Once back in Canada she later adopted a Pitbull mix named Diamond and a little ginger cat Bundy (short for Bundaberg). Outside of work, Jacquelyn enjoys heading to the mountains for hiking and camping but also relaxing at home reading and gardening.  She is very excited to be part of the Trinity team and continue her professional growth with such a supportive and experienced group.

Dr. Michelle Thompson was born and raised in Hong Kong, before moving to Canada as a teenager. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) in 2019. During her studies, she was also enrolled in the dual degree program, and graduated with an MSc in Large Animal Clinical Sciences from the WCVM, focusing on antimicrobial resistance in feedlot cattle. Michelle is especially interested in animal behaviour, nutrition and reproduction.

She relocated to Alberta in 2019 and began practicing in a small animal general practice. While she enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and providing personal care to their animals, she made the switch to an emergency clinic in 2022. Michelle believes that the experience and diversity of cases that accompany emergency medicine will enhance the quality of care that she offers clients.

Along with her husband and young son, Michelle enjoys going on long walks with her two Aussies, Molly and Bruce. She also has a cat, Finn, who holds down the fort when she’s not home. Outside of the clnic, Michelle and her husband manage a small purebred cattle operation on their farm north of Cochrane.

Dr. Hilary Rondot was born in Ontario but grew up in Calgary. She went to the University of Alberta for her Bachelor of Science Degree before getting Accepted into the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and graduation from there in 2016. Career opportunities first took her up to work in Fort McMurray after their devastating forest fires in a general practice and emergency clinic mixed setting. Knowing Calgary was always where she wanted to call home she did return here where she continued working in general practice. In 2023 Hilary decided to make the switch back into emergency medicine given her passion for learning and surgery, but happy to be bringing all the skills she got to hone in general practice.

Hilary is also busy outside of work with her two energetic young boys and her hobbies of gardening, home renovations, belly dancing and the outdoors. When she gets a chance she likes to take a relaxing walk with her two rescue dogs Uma and Bane or curl up on the couch with her cat Bonny.

Dr. Jessie Wilkins  is an Alberta native, originally from Edmonton. She holds a BA in Intercultural Communications, then pursued her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian, graduating from UCVM in 2015. She graduated with interests in imaging, internal medicine and critical care. Highlights of her career include: spending a summer in Kenya with Vets Without Borders, learning how to treat emergent and medical cases, and meeting four legged creatures and their humans.

She enjoys spending time with family and her fuzzy side-kick Adler. She loves good coffee, the mountains, and travelling. She looks forward to joining the Trinity team!

Dr. Austin Ebbott hails from Vermont, US. She graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI and subsequently completed further training with a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Calgary’s Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre. She has a passion for both small animal and wildlife medicine and enjoys the diversity and complexity of cases within the demanding ER setting.
Beyond the clinic, Austin enjoys skiing and hiking in the mountains with her husband and their dog, Ruger. At home, she’s the proud servant to two feline overlords, Agnes and Addie. Additionally, Austin is a licensed falconer and enjoys flying and hunting with her gyrfalcon, Marshall, and Harris hawk, Hush.
