Pet Internal Medicine Services Calgary

Internal Medicine Services offered:

  • Consultation on any defined or currently undefined disease state, to develop a diagnostic and then therapeutic plan.
  • Digital radiography
  • Computed tomography – Aquilion Prime
  • Abdominal and thoracic ultrasound (Hitachi Aloka Arrieta 70)
  • Ultrasound guided biopsies and sampling or removal of fluid.
  • Video endoscopic procedures to retrieve foreign bodies (nose, esophagus and stomach), gather biopsies of bowel (stomach, duodenum, ileum and colon), nasal cavity, pharynx, bladder and vaginal vault.
  • Bronchoscopy samples from the airways for culture and cytology.
  • Bone marrow aspirate, bone marrow core biopsy, and blood transfusion.
  • Placement of feeding tubes and defining nutritional plan moving forward
  • Non-Boarded cardiologist – Cardiology work up – Echocardiography, ECG, blood pressure and review of radiographs
  • Non-Boarded oncologist – Treatment of oncology patients with select chemotherapeutic protocols.
